Repeat Prescription Request

Request a repeat dermatology prescription online

If you are already under our care and need ongoing medication, you can request a repeat prescription for review by a clinician.

Important: repeat prescriptions are only issued where clinically appropriate. Some medicines (for example spironolactone and isotretinoin) require an online review, monitoring, blood tests, pregnancy prevention checks, or an in-person appointment before they can be safely prescribed.

Fixed fee: £30

Simple, safe and reviewed. Tell us what medication you need, confirm how you are getting on, and your request will be checked before any prescription is issued.

Who can use this service?

Existing patients

Already under our care

This service is for patients who have previously been assessed by Revessa Health and are requesting continuation of an existing treatment.

Clinical review

Not automatic

Every request is reviewed. We may need more information, photographs, blood tests or a follow-up appointment before prescribing.

Ongoing treatment

Continue suitable medication

Repeat prescriptions may be suitable for stable conditions where the treatment is working and there are no safety concerns.

Transparent pricing

Fixed fee: £30

The fee covers review of your request and issuing a prescription where appropriate. Medication costs are charged separately by the pharmacy.

What you’ll need to provide

Medication details

Name, dose, frequency, and how long you have been taking the treatment.

Current symptoms

Tell us whether your skin condition is stable, improving, worsening, or causing new concerns.

Side effects

Please report any side effects, allergies, pregnancy status, new medical conditions, or new medicines.

Photos if relevant

For many skin conditions, up-to-date photographs help us decide whether treatment should continue or be adjusted.

When a repeat prescription may not be possible

A repeat prescription may not be issued if your condition has changed, symptoms have worsened, monitoring is overdue, there are side effects, or the medication is not suitable to continue without review.

Some medicines need extra checks: treatments such as isotretinoin, immunosuppressants, long-term antibiotics or medicines requiring blood test monitoring may need a consultation before prescribing.

If urgent or severe symptoms develop, please seek urgent medical advice rather than using a repeat prescription request.

How It Works

1) Submit your request

Complete the repeat prescription form and provide medication details, current symptoms, side effects and any relevant photographs.

2) Clinician review

Your request is reviewed to check that the medication remains appropriate and safe to prescribe.

3) Prescription or advice

If appropriate, a prescription will be issued. If more information or a consultation is needed, we will let you know.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a repeat prescription guaranteed?

No. Repeat prescriptions are only issued where clinically appropriate after review.

Can new patients use this service?

This service is intended for existing Revessa Health patients. New patients need to attend for a consultation before medication can be prescribed.

What if my condition has changed?

If your symptoms have changed, worsened or not responded to treatment, you may need a follow-up consultation rather than a repeat prescription.

Can you prescribe the same medication as before?

Often yes, if it remains safe and appropriate. Sometimes the treatment needs to be changed, paused or reviewed in more detail.

Do I need to upload photographs?

Photographs are helpful for many dermatology prescriptions and may be required if the clinician needs to reassess your skin before prescribing.

Can you issue NHS prescriptions?

No. NHS prescriptions cannot be issued from a private service. Medication costs are charged separately by the pharmacy.

What is the cost?

The repeat prescription request fee is £30. Medication and pharmacy charges are additional.

What happens if a prescription cannot be issued?

We will explain why and advise whether you need further information, monitoring, photographs, a follow-up appointment or in-person review.
